The sparks settle in visions new and wondrous.

Looking back, one image has always clearly stood out in the tale of Camriddeon. One that has stood the test of time. Eleven years ago, beginning to write about one man. A deeply flawed, wondrous mage. Known only at the time as the Torn Soul.

Back then, Camriddeon's tale was a simple conundrum. A classic character, an old mage, and how his story would unfold. Inspired by Arthurian sagas, Merlin, and Belgarath from "The Belgariad," the question of what makes a good man of power was a fascination for me back in 2015.

But slowly, surely, the story and history began to unfold. Dannisfire's history, the tragedy that was the crux of Camriddeon's rise. The surrounding countries, their leaders and their people. And as we started to know their people, these stories demanded to be told.

Evan was the only artist who could possibly bring this comic to life. What had once only been a vivid imaginative experiment flourished on the page. Settings, characters, and a dream held by those who only seemed to exist in ink.

Since Torn Soul, as you can see, the stories have only deepened. Thousands of years, across the continent of Tir Aileni and into the depths of the abyssal plane. And in Volume 1, every corner of the kingdom of Dannisfire.
