Dear Reader Ah, the true New England weather. Colds galore, a strange mixture of gray and sunshine, and the dichotomous feeling of time droning along at both a glacial and hypersonic pace. Often the days feel like they are dragging forever, and then you turn around and guess what, it's Thanksgiving. I'm feeling that right now. I was working on the pre-launch page for next year's Kickstarter for the Legends of the Realm trade. Getting a jump start to showcase everything great about the fantasy series, adding all our reward tiers. And with an hour to spare, I made the final edits and just for fun, sent it to Kickstarter for review. They responded with an acceptance thirty seconds later. Guess what, our pre-launch page is live! You've heard me talk about this series so much, and it's because I fall in love with Camriddeon's journey every time. An epic quest across the kingdom of Dannisfire. Through fires and floods, shadows and dreams, a miracle wrought through the magic of the land and a lone mage with a vision. A vision to help heal a broken world. Just like here, we'll be giving some sneak previews of the upcoming campaign. Some extra goodies that will be coming to this trade, and we'll be giving some updates on everything Legends of the Realm both here and there. If you haven't yet, make sure you check out Issue 1 for free on Global Comix, and make sure you sign up for our pre-launch page!
Thank you so very much for reading. Have a wonderful day. Best, Jack How are the books coming along? The writing is going surprisingly well, though I'll admit the writing sprints are fewer than I would like. Described book 2 like this to my wife, and it made her laugh. "I just wrote a scene where nine dwarves screamed at each other, mostly in agreement, while a half-elf just giggled almost the entire time." My wife: well, I'd read that. The Fiorae continue to move in strange and otherworldly ways. Where do we see you next?Amazingly, next month! I know. Never say never on whether or not there will be a new appearance. But December 6th, I'll be down in New Bedford, MA for the inaugural Maker's Market from Monstah Mag.
Enjoy a macabre Holiday season? Hope to see you there Saturday, December 6th! Some awesome projects to check out
Imagine a world where the apocalypse happened back in 1840 and opened up the doors to all sorts of monsters, curses and demons. One day the world just dried up and whatever little water that was left, being now the most precious resource on the planet, started to be used as currency. Decades have gone by and mankind barely lingered on. There's good water to be made hunting down the wicked and Curse Chasers are always eager to help those in need (for the right flask of water of course). The Redhead is a hardened survivor and a Curse Chaser in this alternate Old West reality.
FORGED IN SHADOWIn the chaos of war, not all heroes shine. Some must rise from shadows to claim the light. As the youngest son of the greatest smith of the fae, Curuthannor should be aspiring to the forge. Instead, he would rather wield a blade than craft one. When the high elf king commissions a powerful enchanted sword requiring iron found only in the subterranean goblin mines of the Shadow Realm, Curuthannor seizes the opportunity to earn a place in the smithy that doesn’t require a hammer. But when dark elf treachery interferes, the lives of his entire family could be at risk...for the high elf king is unmerciful and will not suffer disobedience. Especially from his own daughter. Lhéwen is honored to be the only handmaiden selected to attend the high elf princess on what she believes is a diplomatic delegation to the dark elf king. She doesn’t realize it could be a one-way trip. While the princess forges an escape from the high elf king’s ruthless will, Lhéwen is trapped in a foreign land. Betrayed and alone, Lhéwen discovers it is her own quiet power that may free—or doom—them all. For when the pen fails, the sword will take its place.
Dead by the Book I didn't ask for a destiny. Especially one that says that I'm supposed to destroy every god in existence. It made the name William Creed a curse. Made me turn tail and run from the only home I knew. Left my friend, my favorite ghost, and hoped that the gods would just forget about me. But now I'm back. Chasing the one good paycheck I've seen in years. Chasing some kid who's in way over his head, searching for a book that could break reality. I'll have to take on dragons, the undead, a whole cosmos of deities, and my own mother. Welcome to God Street. Where miracles become realities.
